Terms
The ground rules for using Drop a Tip.
These terms describe how creators, service professionals, and customers can use Drop a Tip to create pages, send tips, and manage payment activity.
Last updated May 9, 2026
Using the service
Drop a Tip helps account holders create a public tip page, share a QR code or link, and receive tips through a connected Stripe account.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure, providing accurate profile and payment information, and using the service lawfully.
Payments and Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe. To receive tips, account holders must complete Stripe onboarding and maintain an eligible connected account.
Stripe may require identity verification, bank details, tax information, or additional account review. Drop a Tip does not control Stripe approval, payouts, verification requirements, or account restrictions.
Tips, refunds, and disputes
Tips are intended as voluntary payments to the account holder shown on the tip page. Customers are responsible for checking the page before submitting a payment.
Refunds and disputes may be handled through Stripe and card networks. Fees, chargebacks, negative balances, and payout timing can depend on Stripe rules and the connected account relationship.
Subscriptions and fees
Free and paid features may differ. Pro features, pricing, and availability can change as the product develops.
If a paid subscription is offered, cancellation affects future billing but may not automatically refund past charges unless required by law or stated at checkout.
Acceptable use
Do not use Drop a Tip for fraud, impersonation, illegal goods or services, harassment, deceptive payment requests, or activity prohibited by Stripe or applicable law.
We may suspend or remove accounts, pages, uploads, or payment access when needed to protect users, payment partners, or the service.
Service changes
Drop a Tip is an early-stage product. Features may change, move, or be removed, and availability may depend on third-party providers.
We aim to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, immediate payouts, or that every payment method will always be available.
These terms are a practical starting point, not a substitute for legal review. Before launch, have counsel tailor them to your company, payment model, jurisdictions, refund policy, and Stripe account setup.
